After lining up the first beacon, this pressure plate will activate in the Warbringer’s Tower area, allowing you to unlock the tower’s main door.

To get to the first Ascending Mystery, line up the first beacon in the Staging Area, then head to the right side of the area, if you’re back, you’re on the Causeway where you entered the level.

This section is the Tower of the Warbringer, and on your previous visits to the Ruins of Wrath, you have not been able to enter the structure. As you zoom in, on the raised platform in front of the Tower, you should see an illuminated Hive plaque, glowing with green energy.

Stand on it long enough and it will light up, opening the door in the Tower ahead. Be careful here, as a Hive Tomb ship will arrive to attack you as you power up the plate.

Once the door is open, enter the Tower and go down to the bottom of the gap inside. Here you will discover what Mara Sov hid in this prison: Scoroboth, son of Xivu Arath.

When you first meet him, you will find that this great knight of the hive is protected and immune to your attacks. You will need to find a way to break that shield to deal with it.

In the room where you find Scoroboth, look around the corner to the right as you face the great shaft that descends into the next section of the Tower to find a Barrier blocking an entrance.

Grab the Barrier Breach marker next to the door and head to the end of the inner hallway. You will find a relic at the end, much like what appears in Dreaming City Strike called The Corrupted.

Grab it, but wait a second before heading back – the large hive lanterns you just passed will eventually explode and kill you if you’re in the hallway you just left when it happens.

You will need three of these relics to take down Scoroboth, son of Xivu Arath.

Take the relic and throw it at Scoroboth to take down his shield, then attack. When he loses about a third of his health, he will disappear, forcing you further into the Tower’s underground area, Undercroft. Go down the next axis to find it again, where you will have to locate another relic.

At the bottom of the next axis, look for the bright white orb that is Toland. There is a large, well-lit room in one direction and some darker tunnels on the opposite side of the room.

Head to the door in the darkest area and turn right. Follow the path to the end of this room and you will find another relic. Take him back and you will find Scoroboth waiting for you in the large, well-lit room opposite.

The last relic is in this great room, hidden under the stairs where you first enter. Use the Barrier Breach markers in the area and go down next to the stairs at the entrance to find a small niche that you can enter.

Take the relic there and finish off Scoroboth, and a chest will appear in the middle of the room to finish off this Ascendant Mystery.

Light the way

After lining up the second beacon, you will see the needle you are looking for in the distance, glowing with Soulfire.

The second Ascendant Mystery appears after lining up the second beacon. From the location near the beacon, look down over the rest of the area and you should see a strange flame-lit hive spire in the distance. That is your destination, so cross to the area called Debris Field to get there.

When you get to the spire, you will find a great hive wizard named Soulfire Exarch working on some kind of hive ritual. Kill the mage and a flaming soul fire orb will fall.

Grab it, then follow the waypoint to take it inside the structure ahead of where you found the burning spire. Follow the path down, past the ribs that line the walls, until you come to a small round area with a brazier in the center where you can dip the orb.

Lighting the brazier opens a bunch of Ascendant portals. Each one has a Hive rune on top, and you’ll notice more Hive runes on the walls around the center. None of the runes in the hive above the portals will match the runes on the wall, except for one: that’s the portal you want.

destini 2 guide

You want to go through the portals that correspond to the hive runes engraved on the walls near the first brazier.

Jump through the portal and you’ll be transported to another spire somewhere on the level, with another hive exarch waiting for you. Kill him, then return through the portal to the portal hub you first opened.

Then grab another Soulfire orb from the brazier you first lit. Go back through the same portal you just cleared and use the orb to light a brazier on the spire the Exarch was using for the ritual.

That will open another group of several portals around the second needle. Look for one with a marking that matches one of the markings on the walls of the room from the first round. Go back through your first portal if you need a refresher on the runes there.

You will repeat this process several times, finding your way through a kind of Ascendant portal maze. Go ahead, kill the exarch, and then go back to the first set of portals to grab an orb.

Go through the first portal, then the second, to light the third brazier, and so on. You will pass through five portals in total, with the last one leading to a large spire in the Outer Isles that is covered by a suppression field.

Climb to the top, kill the enemies of the hive, eliminate the last exarch of Soulfire and claim your chest at the top.
