How To Store Items In Mount & Blade II Bannerlord

Looking for a bank or personal storage? This guide on How To Store Items In Mount & Blade II Bannerlord tells you how you can unlock your own storage so you can safely put items away for another day, reducing your risk of losing valuables and increasing your world map speed.
Storing items is rarely necessary in Mount & Blade II. You can drastically increase your carry capacity by having mauls haul your cargo for you. However, this can be expensive at times and it does slow down your team. So what’s the alternative? Well, unfortunately, unlocking storage for your own personal items is a rather difficult task.

To unlock your own personal stash, as you can see on the image above, you need to take a town. These are very difficult, often having a Garrison of over 400 troops and reinforcements nearby to boot. It’s a slow process. Typically you want to complete the main story so you have your own kingdom, grab a settlement or two, maybe even get married. Bottom line, you’re going to need to be a high level with a lot of troops and a lot of money.
Whenever you pass a potential town you want to conquer, make sure to check its numbers. If you get lucky, you may find a town that is defended with a very small number of troops. Once you’ve take over the town you need to select the “Go to the keep option”. Then, in the next set of options, select the “Open Stash” command. This lets you stash items in this town for use later. While we’ve yet to lose a town, there’s a chance the good are lost if it is taken over by an enemy army so make sure to leave some troops behind to defend it.
