Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has gotten into trouble when Haryana police registered an FIR against the World Cup winner for a ‘nasty’ and ‘disrespectful’ comment against Dalit society during a discussion on 2020 Instagram.

The case was registered against Yuvraj Singh on Sunday at Hisar Hansi Police Station. Police have registered the FIR under Sections 153, 153A, 295, 505 of the IPC, in addition to Sections 3 (1) (r) and 3 (1) (s) of the SC / ST Act. Yuvraj supposedly did the ‘caste comment’ during an Instagram live session with the India opener Rohit sharma in June 2020. The former World Cup-winning off-road player apologized saying he never believed in the disparity.

Yuvraj Singh had taken to Twitter and apologized for “unintentionally hurting the feelings” of a certain society of people.

“This is to clarify that I have never believed in any type of disparity, whether based on caste, color, creed or gender. I have given and continue to spend my life for the well-being of people. I believe in the dignity of life and respect to each individual without exception, “Yuvraj Singh said in his post.

“I understand that while conversing with my friends, I was misunderstood, which was not justified. However, as a responsible Indian, I want to say that if I have unintentionally hurt someone’s feelings or feelings, I would like to express my regret for the same.”

Yuvraj had made the comment when talking about Yuzvendra Chahal’s TikTok videos, which spun India’s legs, Yuvraj had said, “Yeh b *** gi log ko kaam nahi hai yeh Yuzi aur isko (Kuldeep).”

“Yuzi ko dekha kya video daala hai apni ke saath family. Maine usko wahi ball ki apne baap ko nacha raha hai, pay toh nahi hai tu,” Rohit replied.
