Odour Or Not? Yogi Adityanath vs. Akhilesh Yadav Over Cow Dung Plants

On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chairman Minister Yogi Adityanath hit out at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for his ‘gobar’ comments, saying it’s ironic that the opposition leader senses scent in cow poo, which is considered a manifestation of Goddess Lakshmi.

Akhilesh Yadav, during a budget debate in the statehouse on Monday, stated that Kannauj, which is known for its “ittar” (perfume), needed a perfume park instead of a “gobar” factory.

In his statement to the parliament on Tuesday, the chief minister added that if he (Yadav) had done ‘puja,’ he would not have spoken so.

“It’s ironic that the opposition leader detects aroma in cow excrement.” He would not have stated so if he had thought of cow poo as a kind of Lakshmi. He may or may not be doing puja. In puja, cow dung is utilized. Yogi Adityanath stated, “He should have learned something from his uncle Shivpal Ji.”

“Today, cow excrement is also used to make incense sticks. He would have used it if the opposition leader had worshiped. In his speech, the influence of buffalo milk may be seen. I still appreciate his calling cow mama,” the CM continued.

Yogi Adityanath, speaking about Kannauj’s perfume, stated that it has been recognized under the ‘one district, one product’ system and that its scent is spreading “all over the globe today.”

“Our goal is to improve everyone while appeasing no one.” “No recipient may claim that he did not get the benefit of a plan because of his religion or caste,” the CM added.

The budget debate drew 124 members, with 75 members of the governing party supporting the budget and 49 members of the opposition speaking in favor of the modification.

Yogi Adityanath praised the budget, saying that it was the first time that the state parliament could have such a serious and in-depth debate, which would elevate not only the House’s dignity but also strengthen the ordinary man’s feeling of respect.

Yogi Adityanath slammed Akhilesh Yadav multiple times during his almost two-hour address, saying that the SP head has at least embraced the Centre’s welfare packages for the poor, citing socialism as an example.

“However, these initiatives are inspired by the ethos of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s Antyodaya philosophy,” the CM remarked.

He asserted that the state budget would help Prime Minister Narendra Modi achieve his goal of making India self-sufficient.

“We never claimed to be responsible for all of the current events in the state. Everyone has contributed in some way. SP was given four chances to rule. The BSP was also a part of the coalition government. For a long period, Congress was in charge. “The BJP has also been given a chance to return to power for the fourth time,” the CM said.

He said that each political party accomplished something positive throughout their different administrations.

Yogi Adityanath, in a dig at the SP, stated that certain individuals are more concerned with the issues than with the solutions.

“You consider the issue; we consider the solution.” The distinction is obvious. “This is the distinction between the SP and the BJP,” he said.

“Today, we are number two in the ease of doing business,” Yogi Adityanath stated. In 2021, he added, there was a 73.94 percent drop in dacoity cases, 65.88 percent drop in robberies, 33.95 percent drop in murder cases, and 50.66 percent drop in rape cases compared to 2016.
